Cashless Card System
Every pupil has a catering account and has his/her own personal card, which is secure and private. Money must be credited to the pupil account before any purchase can be made. Where pupils qualify for free school meals the appropriate amount is credited automatically. There are a number of cashloaders and cheque boxes around the Academy where accounts can be credited by pupils.
At lunchtime, the till operator uses a touch screen terminal which
displays a photo image of each child and records the meal taken
each day. Removing cash exchanges at lunchtime improves the
speed of service for your child.
Where pupils have special dietary requirements they can be highlighted and entered confidentially onto
the system.
Pupils' meal details are recorded each day, which allows parents the facility to monitor their child's eating habits should they wish to.
