Excelsior Academy Catering

The Academy's Catering Team offers an excellent daily menu of high quality and nutritious meals to pupils, students and staff. A roast dinner is served weekly as well as a varied daily selection of main meals including Halal options. We also offer jacket potatoes, a large selection of sandwiches, a salad bar, Pasta King or Chicken Joes, homemade cakes & biscuits, fresh whole fruit, fruit snack pots and ‘grab and go’ fruit bags. a roast dinner is also served weekly along with a selection of fruit juices, flavoured water and flavoured milk. Water is freely available in all dining halls and in each school.

Free School Meals

Free school meals are available for all children who qualify. Our cashless card system ensures that there is no distinction between those pupils who qualify for free school meals and those who pay. For more details about free school meals please click the link below.

Packed Lunches

From September 2008 packed lunches brought from home and consumed in schools/Academies (or on organised visits) are regulated by national standards.

Cashless Card System

Every pupil has an account and has his/her own personal card, which is secure and private. Money must be credited to the pupil account before any purchase can be made.
