Excelsior Academy NEWCASTLE
Welcome to the Excelsior Academy website
Excelsior Academy was set up by the Excelsior Academy Trust - sponsor Lord Laidlaw - and Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) and opened in September 2008.
The academy serves the community in the west of the city and actively involve families in supporting their children’s learning. It is part of the Newcastle family of schools.
The primary schools which cluster with the Academy are Atkinson Road Primary School, Bridgewater, Broadwood Primary School, Canning Street Primary School, Hawthorn Primary School, Moorside Primary School, St John's Primary School, Westgate Hill Primary School, Wingrove Primary School and St Paul's CE Primary School.
